The eyebrow transplant is a minor outpatient procedure, performed under local anaesthetic at our Harley Street clinic in London.
During the eyebrow transplant procedure, suitable hair follicles are carefully selected from your donor region to match your existing eyebrow hairs. These follicles are then isolated and relocated to make up your new eyebrows.
The eyebrow transplant is performed either using the FUE or FUT technique, to strategically remove individual hair grafts from your safe zone donor region.
Once harvested, your hairs are trimmed under high magnification to a uniform size, prior to being implanted into your recipient brow area to make up your new eyebrows.
We will shave a very small area of your head for the FUE extraction process, or excise a small strip of tissue via the FUT technique which is concealed beneath your donor hair density.
At our Harley Street clinic in London we are able to design your desired eyebrow shape, taking into account your unique facial features and current eyebrow density.
Full eyebrow transplant results are seen at 6-12 months, with continued maturation up to 18 months after your procedure. At first, regular grooming may be necessary, as the hairs tend to grow faster before eventually slowing down over time, as your eyebrow transplant matures.
Just like hair transplant surgery, eyebrow transplants are very fine-tuned procedures. They require precise placement of hairs into tiny incision holes that are angled to match the natural direction of how eyebrows would ordinarily grow. Correct aesthetic design and angulation are crucial to the natural shape of each eyebrow.
