Dr. Matt Egan

Dr. Matt Egan is registered with the General Medical Council (GMC), registration number: 7461688, and is a full medical member of the British Association of Hair Restoration Surgery (BAHRS), which promotes the understanding and reputation of hair transplant surgery in the United Kingdom and Ireland.

After graduating with a degree in medicine at St Bartholomew’s Hospital in 2014, Dr. Egan worked for the NHS and progressed to complete his hair transplant residency here on Harley Street.

Dr. Egan quickly became one of our leading hair restoration surgeons who is highly proficient in FUE (Follicular Unit Excision), FUT (Follicular Unit Transplant) and FUE & FUT combination procedures for advanced hair loss, including hair transplant repair cases.

Over the years Dr. Matt Egan has worked in General Surgery, Ear Nose and Throat Surgery and Intensive Care and emergency Medicine.

Dr. Egan is an active member of the British Association of Hair Restoration Surgery, regularly attending meetings and seminars across the UK, sharing knowledge and ideas. Dr. Egan is also an associate member of the International Society of Hair Restoration Surgery (ISHRS) attending the conferences world wide.

With a very detailed eye and a meticulous artistic nature, Dr. Egan focuses heavily on the finer aspects of what makes a hair transplant look natural, in particular soft micro-irregular hairline design. Dr. Egan is currently using the WAW DUO FUE system at our Harley Street clinic in London for greater quality control & donor hair management when performing FUE hair transplant surgery.

Dr. Egan firmly believes in listening to his patients and learning how hair loss affects them personally, before educating them on the viable treatment options available. He advocates conservative, medical and surgical treatments for hair loss and works together with his patients to find the best treatment for their unique case.

Dr. Egan practises from our flagship London surgical centre, working with our core Harley Street medical team.
